Gentle Pain Release Center Therapist Biographies
Toni Jean Constantino, MPT
B.A., Brevard College, 2006
Masters of Physical Therapy
Western Carolina University, 2008
T.J. began her career in physical therapy working in a pediatric and orthopedic setting, where she incorporated other therapies such as aquatic therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, hippotherapy, and use of the Nintendo Wii and therapy dogs. T.J. has trained her own therapy dog Kona. T.J. considers Kona a valuable asset to her life and work.
While searching for the very best treatment methods and techniques to help patients receiving physical therapy rehabilitation, T.J. found Richard Fowler at the Gentle Pain Release Center. There she was introduced to Myofascial Release (MFR) and Craniosacral Therapy (CST). She received her training in MFR and CST through the teachings of MFR founder John Barnes and CST founder John Upledger.
T.J. has personally experienced the relief from chronic pain that these techniques have to offer when she received treatment for a previous injury in which she broke her back during a mountain biking accident. The gentle touch, compassion, and exceptional training she received from the therapists at the Gentle Pain Release Center were most effective in reducing her pain and persistent symptoms.
Living right outside of Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest provides T.J. with an ideal atmosphere for participating in outdoor activities she loves, such as mountain biking, hiking, and photography; she enjoys doing yoga and Pilates as well. The peaceful serenity the area has to offer, being surrounded by nature-this is where she feels most centered. T.J. believes in the importance of the mind-body connection, and approaches her treatments with an open mind and open heart.
